Yep that's point perpendicular. A little trivia... Hyams Beach holds the world record for the whitest sand (in the world, there I said "world" twice). It really is as white as snow. Also, the Australian Navy does target practice with bombs on the point over there. Nice, eh?

I'm guessing the name comes from the cliffs being nearly perpendicular to the water. If that is Point Perpendicular, it is over 4 miles away. Those cliffs must be enormous. (Like a big can of Fosters!)
