Thanks Gene, it's all coming back to me. You can see the marine biology station on the opposite side of the beach. It was built in 1881 and run by a russian biologist, Nikolai Nikolaevich Miklouho-Maclay. I don't think he was a mad russian scientist, but then again, what the heck was he doing in Australia in 1881? Jeff, Australia does have strong colors, but I clean up the photos with Picasa, the free program from Google. It's the kind of stuff you do when you get old, like putting pepper on food because the taste buds are losing sensitivity.
Gene, actually Julian did say the shed was an old marine biology observation station. Julian, is Australia more colorful than the rest of the world, or do you just have a really good camera?
Julian, you're right only it was a close-up view. You did not explain the purpose of the "hut". Beautiful beach, great photo.
