Jeff, we have homeless people here too. Like homeless people across the rest of the world, they carry their belongings in those large bags with red, blue and white stripes. For some reason, they prefer Bondi beach and other ocean beaches. The eroded sandstone cliffs offer shelter and privacy. The rest, who don't like the beach, reside in city building foyers and bus shelters. Those people you see in Double Bay are beachgoers catching the last days of sunlight, before winter. I was dressed for the occasion, as the club has a strict dress code.
Come on, Jeff...get with the program; there used to be people with those blankets, but Julian has made it perfectly clear that most run from the nude photographer!!! Great pic, Julian; by the way...I just hope both hands are on the camera!!!
Julian, that's quite a nice picture for a camera phone. That pile of blankets in the middle of the picture looks like a typical bed for a homeless person in Philadelphia. Do you have many homeless in Sydney? I bet sleeping on a beach beats sleeping on a subway vent.
Julian, make mine latte macchiato.
Whoa! Now that's a big houseboat.
I didn't have my camera last week, so I used my mobile phone. The colors aren't much good, but it was better than nothing. The photo was taken shortly after I had lunch at the Double Bay 18 Footers Club, on that wharf. Beautiful Zuppa di Mare, chardonnay and a macchiato to finish off, before staggering down the beach to take photos with inferior equipment. Such is the life of the BeachZapper.
