Australia Day Celebrations

Qantas has bigger problems than a couple of snakes: They are laying off thousands, selling planes and discounting air fares. I guess with the internet and GFC, nobody needs to travel anymore, right? The only arrivals in the last few days have been Afghani refugees on leaky boats.

So, I see the shark net sure runs far up onto the beach...is this to keep the land-sharks out?

Jeff, yes of course. I just gotta rib Julian.

Gene, who could be afraid of six inch long baby pythons? Show some mettle, man! Australia is still very high on my list of *must-see* vacation destinations.

Julian, Python Alert. I have just learned "Quantas is now offering a new perk for travelers to Australia. "Snakes on a Plane". I have cancelled my reservations indefinately, at least until the snakes are found. You might suggest the Australian Commision on Tourism add this interesting event to their video. Cheers.

Is that a shark net - a net that's put out by sharks to catch humans? It looks like it's doing a pretty good job, but there's a few that escaped.

"Come to Florida" our sharks are semi-friendly.

[Allegory alert] Couldn't we just negotiate with the sharks and establish a mutual non-eating pact rather than spend money on these defensive measures. %-)
