Jeff, those pelicans live there, 365 days a year. There is a boat ramp and a table where fishermen gut and scale their catch. Understandably, those pelicans hang around, just in case they need to clean up environmental spills of fish parts. The first pelican is Phil M'Beek, the other wants to remain anonimous. Jean, they are not spooked by anybody. If you chase them they run in a circle, and always end up near the cleaning table. Fancy that!
Maybe their names are Pete and Re-Pete ... Great modeling - and they weren't even spooked by the naked-stalker photographer!

Just a short walk north of Avoca beach from yesterday. Thanks for sharing all these beaches Julian. How are Peter and Priscilla Pelican doing? Do they hang out here year-round, or are they migratory?
