Yes, really! That's what the locals call it. It's a deep hole just inside the tip of the cape, and we've fished it enough to validate the name. In the summer you can catch grouper there... that is if you're lucky enough to get them up in one piece!!!
"The Shark Hole"? Really? HOW AWESOME IS THAT?? 8D "Hey Linds, let's go swim with the pretty dolphins! You jump first!"
Steph, now don't start thinking about pushing your sister in the water. (õ_ó)
...or, cover yourself in extra Coppertone, it will create a shark-repelling oil-slick....
Mattchew - drink more Coronas - you won't notice the fins...or, your shrieks will be slurred...
Steph - While the cape offers some fantastic snorkeling, this particular place off the cape is known as "the Shark Hole." Your sister would be shrieking for sure! Fins to the left, fins to the right...
I can hear my sister shrieking in terror as we snorkel beside the boat... XD
I can hear the waves now, lapping at the sides of the boat, as I lie back and bask in the sun while reading a trashy novel and sipping on a Pina Colada ... or Corona ...
I think the lighthouse washed away again and maybe landed in Australia along with it's full supply of Coronas...it was a little tricky going thru the Panama Canal, but those Coronas worked as little brown beacons and guided it directly to Julian's beaches!
I hope you were able to paddle back to the beach after taking this great photo...Never mind, it was worth it.
I can imagine the water slowly undulating. Another great shot Jean-o. So where's the lighthouse? Did it get knocked down ... again?
