Hi Carol, happy to see you back with us. This area of the beach is directly across the Intra-coastal Waterway (Grande Lagoon) on the mainland side of the Island ("your old home).

Jeff, How true, the fence is here only for a brief period, but the sand just keeps on blowing in the wind. Julian, maybe I will make me one(hourglass) and set it for Australian Standard Time. Sorry I woke you.

Great photo Gene! I love the contrasts - the smooth sand on one dune and the coarse shell fragments on the other; the ephemerality of man's creation in the fence and the timelessness of God's creation in the waves.

Jeff, it's 7.45pm as I type this. Thanks to gravity, we have not fallen into space, here downunder in Australia. Beautiful sand, looks like the perfect stuff they put in hour-glasses.
