Ah, Gene, that's tough to take. Got up to 28 today; snow on the way tonight/tomorrow, followed by sleet/freezing rain. I'm just imagining the sand between my toes and the surf kicking up around my ankles

Thanks Gene. As you have said in the past, it is good to learn something new each day. I've tried wind surfing before (with the sail attached to the surf board), but kite boarding sounds like a lot of fun.
Jeff, and furthermore, neither of the two should be confused with wind surfing. A sail is attached directly to the surfboard for this event.
Hello Jeff, Seems like boarding is in the limelight more and more these days and should NOT be cancelled. KITE Boarding is exactly the same as SNOW boarding (boards are designed the same)and you are able to perform aerial stunts. KITE surfing is relatively new and uses a basic surfboard. THen both are simply propelled by the wind. You cannot, however do aerial stunts in Kite surfing as you would in Kite boarding the surfboard is not attached to your feet.

So what is the difference between kite boarding and kite surfing? Is kite-boarding related to water-boarding? I believe the new administration is already planning to turn Gitmo into a resort, but all activities with the word "boarding" in them are canceled until further notice.
